"The artwork is a mini-game based on “The crocodile comes ashore,” a folk group-game for Vietnamese children. The work is shaped like an arcade game, with which the viewers could interact by the act of playing. With an interest in simulated worlds as a way to think about personal experiences, I construct different contexts and characters, then I superimpose them upon other contexts and characters. The work/game unfolds continuously, without a beginning, without an end, when no one is participating in the interaction, it operates like a video, when someone is participating in the interaction (via altering the direction of a running character), it operates like a video game."
